The intelligent console on the Matrix U5x Upright Bike measures user performance in a number of different categories, including heart rate, distance, METs, Watts, calories and time. The console can also be upgraded for compatibility with Apple and Android devices. This upgrade enables users to play and listen to their favorite music playlists, check social media or surf the web via the Internet connection, and even watch streaming video as they ride.

The Matrix U5x Upright Bike comes standard with 7 pre-programmed workout profiles from which riders can choose. These pre-set workouts include a Target Heart program; a Constant Watts regimen; a Fat-burning or Weight Loss program; a Rolling hills themed workout; a Fitness Test; and Interval Training regimen, which combines different elements of each of the other workouts; and a Manual setting, through which riders can create their own personalized workouts using the unprecedented 30 fine-tuned levels of resistance this bike offers. The bike runs on an ultra-quiet brushless generator system, and the LED console comes to life the moment the users starts pedaling.
