Monday morning rolls around and you've already hit the snooze button 3 times. You rush to get ready for work and try to cram in a quick breakfast. For a lot of us getting the week started is a tough task which makes eating a good breakfast key to getting the week going on the right foot.
If you really want to flood your body with vitamins and antioxidants that will destroy age causing free radicals, juicing is the way to go. Its hard for any individual to eat four or five pounds of leafy greens in one sitting but when your juicing its a sinch. Juicing removes all the fiber so those nutrients are absorbed more quickly into your blood stream. Juicing raw vegetables also preserves more of the nutrients then cooking them. Kale, spinach and other leafy greens are low in sugar and high in polyphenols and carotenoids which are two antioxidants that have been shown to help guard against sun damage.
Feel free to add a scoop of your favorite protein mix to any juice recipe. Another great addition to any juice is throwing in a little ginger. Not only does it offer a sharp crisp bite to your drink but ginger improves the absorption and assimilation of essential nutrients in the body.
